WEEKLY BREAD

HOMESTEADER'S WHEAT

An everyday, light wheat bread with a creamy flavor and the subtle sweetness of Michigan red spring wheat.  An incredibly versatile loaf, this bread is equally great for French toast, grilled cheese sandwiches, or the old standby—peanut butter and jam.

GRIFF'S 8-GRAIN

A hearty 8-grain, 3-seed bread named for our big-hearted neighbor Jim Griffin.  This rich, chewy loaf is made with all organic grains and is sweetened with just a touch of West Michigan honey. Try it as fuel for your next sojourn or, enjoy it as we do, as unparalleled toast.

THIRD COAST 3-SEED
Take our West Michigan Wheat bread and toss in an ample dose of sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, and flax seeds and wowsers!  The outcome is an extremely nutty and nuanced loaf that seems to be more than the sum of its parts.  We can hardly believe how tasty this simple combo is…Butter, honey, jam, anyone?

OCEANA ROUND
An Italian classic, this ripping and dipping bread is irresistible with its glossy interior and it’s large,
surprising holes.  Yes, we put the holes there on purpose!  This bread is perfect for ripping into hunks and dipping in your favorite olive oil sprinkled with a little sea salt.

FINN'S PECAN RAISIN PECAN
We are raisin’ our son Finn on Pecan Raisin Pecan...a bread so rich you won’t believe it’s not cake! No
sweeteners added—just a quarter pound each of pecans and organic raisins in every loaf. 
 Who needs butter?  Simply Amazing.  
And yes, this is Finn’s favorite.

MICHIGANDER

A dark and soulful whole wheat boule made with Michigan grown whole grains. This is our family’s daily
bread and we want this to be the bread of choice for Michigan’s children! Whole grains have never been this good…

ELBRIDGE PARMESAN OLIVE

The cheese does not stand alone in this loaf!  Generous hunks of mouth-watering parmesan and glorious Kalamata olives in every bite—this sumptuous boule is not for the faint of heart.  We recommend sharing it with a loved one—lest you eat the entire loaf by yourself in one sitting!  It is that good.

ANNIE'S RAISIN SPICE
Plumped organic raisins in Michigan grown whole wheat.  Fabulous for toast in the morning or with chicken salad at lunch.  A raisin loaf has never been more versatile!

100% WHOLE GRAIN KAMUT
Kamut is a non-hybridized relative or durum wheat and has been traced back to ancient Egypt.  Having a light, sweet crumb with a flavor similar to that of toasted corn, this loaf is a favorite for those of our customers wanting an alternative to hard red spring wheat.

CHEDDAR PEPPERCORN
We love this smooth Vermont Cheddar all by itself but we believe it has found the perfect partner in tongue-tingling organic black pepper. This bread’s flavor hardly needs company but it sure makes a tasty BLT!

PILGRIM RYE
Our version of a hearty German style cracked rye bread full of flax, pumpkin, and sunflower seeds.  Excellent as toast with jam.

INGREDIENTS:  Well water, organic cracked rye berries, organic spelt flour, organic rye flour, organic wheat flour, organic  flax seed, organic sunflower seed organic pumpkin seed, black strap molasses, sea salt.
